DWS Data Server for Excel and Databases

This is a light weight java application which reads from and writes to Microsoft Excel files. It is mainly intended to be used by Adobe Flex applications (like Dashboard apps) which need to read data from Excel worksheets. The Excel Data Server runs as a Windows Service and listens to requests sent over http. The server can also read/write to MySQL or Oracle databases. Feel free to download and use for development or personal purposes. If you wish to redistribute it with your own product, contact sales @dw-systems.com for a redistribution license.

This version of the software responds to requests from the local computer (such as from desktop Flex applications) or from other computers with their IPs in a list of trusted hosts. The server jar file can also be used in your own Application Server to create an enterprise server (contact us for details).

WebApp Development Framework

This is a framework we have developed in-house which has its own object modeling, object-relational mapping and basic web application functions. It is useful for building relatively small web applications in record time.

We intend to make this an open-source application in the future. In the meantime feel free to download and use it for whatever purpose you wish.

Employee Productivity Network
